Payments

Our online shop

You can now pay the Society securely using our online shop for any or all of the following:

• Paying subscriptions (new memberships or renewals)
• Ordering publications
• Research fees
• Booking places for Society events 
• Making donations to the Society

You will be able to pay securely using a PayPal account if you have one, or using your credit/debit card. You add your purchases to a shopping basket and then proceed to the checkout.

Bank Transfer

You can also make payments to the Society for any of the above by direct transfer to our bank account: BARCLAYS BANK UK PLC Leicester LE87 2BB. Sort Code: 20 85 26. Account No. 30817880 in the name of the SDFHS. Please try to ensure that your bank indicates what you are purchasing and in the case of a membership renewal please quote your membership number.

Credit/Debit Card

Payments may be made by debit/credit card at our online shop (see above).

Payment by Cheque

If you prefer to post a sterling cheque , please send it to: SDFHS, Broadway House, Peter St., Yeovil, BA20 1PN. If you are paying for a new membership also enclose a completed Application Form  or include your membership number and postcode for a renewal.

Publications

If you are ordering publications by post. then we would suggest payment by an open limited cheque which is safe for you, and saves us having to send refunds, if a book you have ordered is out of stock. It also enables us to ensure that you do not pay more postage and packing charges than necessary on multiple orders.

Please make your cheque (this must be a sterling cheque payable on a UK Bank) payable to SDFHS. You should leave the amount and figures line blank for us to complete, but (important) write on the second line “not to exceed (x) pounds”.

Cash

Please do not send cash through the post. We can accept cash payments made in person at our Family History Centre in Yeovil.
