(Jack Paul) The story of a family firm 1893 – 1990.
The story starts from the information in an advertisement in the Wells Journal of 27th July 1893. The advert stated that William Paul, who had been a painter, decorator and paper hanger for 17 years, would be starting a business on his own account, in Wells, as a painter and decorator.
Several generations of the family took over the business as time went by. A list of some of the people employed by the company is included.
