We’re very pleased to welcome: Gail Benjafield, from St. Catharines, Ontario with in-depth knowledge of local genealogy groups. She is also going to speak about the Home Children.
Martha Stanton-Smith, from a small town between Regina and Moosejaw, Saskatchewan who again has expertise in tracing families across the Prairies and Alberta.
Anne van Dyk lives in Hamilton, Ontario and is the convenor of the Canadian group. She will speak on the history of immigration and shipping resources This will cover a large time frame which will help SDFHS members to search for ancestors who emigrated to Upper Canada (now Ontario).
If you’ve already emailed Jane in order to attend a zoom meeting this year, you won’t need to contact us again. We will build up a list of subscribers & send out the zoom details, shortly before the meeting.
Otherwise, do contact her ([email protected]) quoting your membership number. We will then add you to our list.
