Bernie is a well known local speaker and many of you will have heard his talks on Dorset’s bridges and the village of Loders. He was a Borough Surveyor for the County, working on local bridges and roads and later wrote his books “Dorset’s Bridges Spanning the Ages” and “Loders–Backalong”. He now brings us the story of the Askers Roadhouse, still talked about locally.
