The first of the season is Pat Moody: on 15th September at 730pm he will be talking about the amazing Roman Mosaic, found at Hinton St Mary in 1963 Pat was a history teacher at Sturminster Newton School at the time – he and many pupils were involved in uncovering and recording this unique artefact which may, if plans go ahead, soon be on permanent display in Dorset County Museum The mosaic was featured in the BBC Radio 4 series A History of the World in 100 Objects Contemporary photos and... more
